Come slay a fucking dragon at your local library!

Here's the poster that I put together for recruitment purposes. Hopefully, we can post them at other library branches around the city where other kids can see them. At this point, I'm going to cap recruitment at 8 players, just for time purposes (we've only got about 3 hours and I'd like to do something cool every week)

Anyone with graphic design experience like to offer some constructive criticism? I'm still not quite sure about that address at the bottom of the first box.

Art by the indomitable Wayne Reynolds.
Logo by Wizards of the Coast.

  1. Looks aces to me. If you're going to pick a modern WotC artist, Reynolds is the one to go with. I also suspect that 4e is, on balance, the most likely edition to actually lure teens to our particular brand of perdition, being new and shiny and all.

You live in Pittsburgh. I live in WV, and went to school in Morgantown. We seem to share similar interests. Next time I'm in the area, we should play a game or hit a show.

  2. Definitely. It's heartening to be able to talk to someone about punk rock AND D&D, which is also one of the reasons I love my girlfriend so much.

As I've said before, I really like 4th Edition because it sets out to be a cinematic, swashbuckling high fantasy game and succeeds fantastically. Sure, it doesn't have the same focus of B/X or 1E, but then again, neither was 2E.
